Our Mission
A Night For Smiles is a Charlotte based non-profit organization with the sole purpose of raising money to provide dental-oriented healthcare to the local community.This year’s event will benefit The Kenneth D. Owen, North Carolina Missions of Mercy (NCMOM)–Charlotte
This event will showcase NCMOM’s portable outreach program of the North Carolina Dental Society to provide free adult dental care to those in financial need with few or no other options. The next clinic will take place at the Bojangles Arena on October 18-19, 2019. The goals are to provide free dental treatment to 2,500 or more qualifying adults. The clinic is staffed by volunteer dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, laboratory technicians, health professionals and general community volunteers from Charlotte and across the state.
How Can You Help
A Night For Smiles offers several different ways for you to get involved and help with our cause.
On Saturday, September 14th, 2019, A Night For Smiles will host its second annual Black-Tie Gala to benefit NCMOM Charlotte Chapter, a grassroots effort, dependent entirely on volunteers, including dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, and scores of general volunteers which donate their time and talents tirelessly. NCMOM is dependent on funding from charitable organizations, civic organizations, private corporate & personal donations as well as grants.
As a sponsor, you will be connected with all 450 of our guests at the Gala. The guests will mostly consist of dental professionals and business leaders within the dental industry. With your help, we hope to underwrite all event expenses so that 100% of the contributions will go towards our recipient, NCMOM-Charlotte, and the thousands of patients in need of dental care.

Gala Hosts:
John C. Nale, DMD, MD
Co-Chairman
Dr. Nale is a partner at Carolinas Center for Oral & Facial Surgery and practices full-scope oral and maxillofacial surgery with a special interest in TMJ surgery.
Sonia Chopra, DDS
Co-Chairman
Dr. Chopra is a Board Certified Endodontist and the founder of Ballantyne Endodontics in Charlotte, NC in 2008. She lectures within the Charlotte dental community to spread her passion and knowledge of endodontic practices to save natural teeth.
Dr. Aten, a partner at Aten Garofalo Dentistry, has proudly served the Ballantyne area since 2001. She has a passion for serving others and helping patients achieve optimal dental health.
Amit Ganglani, DDS
Concord dentist Dr. Amit Ganglani is passionate about improving the lives of others. Professionally, he enhances his patients’ self-esteem by providing unmatched dentistry services.
MARISOL TILLER, DDS
Dr. Tiller is a native New Yorker who graduated from the University of Maryland and has been in Charlotte since 2015. You can find her at Waxhaw Dental Center where she treats her patients like family.
